What did I do?
As a marketing intern, I was responsible for listening to consumer needs. In addition, I was expected to keep track of market trends and competition. I was responsible for developing and distributing posts, messages, and principles that best reflected the brand's values. I was able to assist them in improving their customer conversion and behaviour by working on new programs, affiliate initiatives, customer retention plans, and new promotions.
I kept open lines of communication with the rest of the team as well. I assisted in improving sales processes as well as customer and employee satisfaction. Marketing plans were also devised, including a list of objectives to be met over the next six months. Furthermore, these strategic goals had to be in sync with the company's overall strategy as well as the plans of other departments.
Social Media Content
I was responsible for creating social media content for the company using various tools and platforms. I used Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to design graphics and images, and Canva to create templates and layouts. I also used Trello to plan and schedule the social media posts, and to collaborate with other team members. I learned how to write captivating captions for the posts, using keywords, hashtags, and emojis. My social media content helped the company increase its online presence and reach more potential customers.
Offline Content
I was involved in creating offline content that promoted the company’s products and services. One of the projects I worked on was a banner that displayed the company’s logo, and images of its products. I used Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to design the banner, applying various features such as layers, filters, masks, and vectors. I also made sure that the banner was compatible with the printing specifications set by my supervisor. The banner was effective in attracting more customers and increasing the company’s brand awareness.
Video Editing
At Aik Chin Hin Machinery Co, I had the opportunity to create and edit a video for the company’s website and social media platforms. I worked with Jaiden, who filmed the video at various locations and angles, while I edited the video using Adobe Premiere Pro. I added captions, transitions, effects, and music to make the video more engaging and informative.
I also processed the video for uploading, making sure it met the quality and size standards. The video was a success, as it received positive feedback and increased engagement from the company and its customers. It also helped the company generate new leads and sales. Through this experience, I learned valuable skills such as video editing, teamwork, communication, creativity, problem-solving, marketing, and customer service.
